Very bad

From the very start of my contact with this estate agency I have had a bad experiance. The agent who showed me the properties was putting his tie on as he got out of the car, had no idea how much the rent was, what utlities were included or what funiture was included. When i moved into the property it took 5 weeks for them to fix a window that wouldn't shut or lock meaning i was left with an unsecure proerty for over a month. They NEVER call back when they promiss two meaning I have had to call at least three times a week to try and get problems resolved and any problems take AT LEAST two weeks to fix no matter how severe (i had a water pipe burst under the bathroom floor and it took two weeks to come out to stop the leak and I'm still waiting for them to come and replace the carpet. They also tried to get my guarrentor to sign a blank a4 piece of paper on two seperate occasions, and did not tell me that the guarrentor had to be present when keys were collected. Which almost meant i couldn't move in. They have been terrible from start to finish and i would avoid them like the plague and i would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Good

V&W have always been good with us. Maintenance issues have moslty been dealt swiftly and they are normally pleasant on the phone.

My only gripe is the £50 administration cost charged every year for renewing the contract.
It may be similar in other agencies but my previous agency did not charge such a fee for renewing the contract. In effect, £50 for printing a 20 pages document and postal cost to get both landlord and tenant signatures is a rip-off. I have also asked for getting a longer than 1 year contract...but guess what, they do not do it... I think I guessed why.
